Kate: tradition! (smashing the squash) tradition! tradition! At my parents’ house we used to throw the squash down the steps to the basement, to smash on the cement floor. A simple (and fun, crazy, exciting) way to break the squash into small enough pieces to be manageable for preparing it for cooking. These squashes are practically impossible to cut through! At our house we don’t have a cement floor in the basement to smash it on (our basement is carpeted). So… we smashed it in the garage. All three bambinos loved it! thanks for reading! ~Heather
Wow looks like a great day! Just curious, why were you throwing the squash on your garage floor?
