The purple lilacs are blooming outside our kitchen window. Nothing could be more perfect than that. But in an instant, seeing Meera at the kitchen table, a vase of those lilac stems sitting right in the center, my heart skips a beat. No, that’s perfect. That little girl and that soul inside her. Nothing could be more perfect than that. But then, in the stillness of her bedroom tonight, rocking her before I lay her in her crib, she fell asleep soundly in my arms. Her little lips open and her breathing so precious. Through the wall I can hear Braydon reading books to the boys in Kyle’s room. I take a deep breath and let myself really feel it. The absolute perfectness of it all. This perfect moment. “You’re perfect” I say out loud. And I mean it.
It is unbelievable how beautiful your daughter is. Her on-camera sweetness is completely captivating!
I know that feeling…tis wonderful and all I want is to freeze in time.
I love the third photo. Her hand position looks so grown up.
Such a beauty. I love those "perfect" moments!
Brought me to tears…precious, friend.
