Meera Quote: “Bo Bo” & “Ky Ky”

This girl is sweetness. Pure sweetness. I am so smitten with her. Just over the moon enamored with her little soulful self. Truly. She is such a spunky independent little person. With a mind of her own. She says “bless you!” every time someone sneezes. She refers to every dog she sees (real, stuffed, in a book, or otherwise) as “Cocoa” (Cocoa is the name of Margie’s dog). She’s taken to calling Braydon and/or I “Mapi” (as in the combo of “Mama” and “Papi” fused together; interestingly, Owen too did this when he was Meera’s age). She loves having her hair in braids and is currently semi-fixated on any and all bugs (all of which she calls “bees”). Thus, she loves the pants in the photo above– because they have ladybugs (or, as Meera calls them, “bees”) on them. These are the only pair of pants she’ll willingly and voluntarily wear. Otherwise, it is skirts and dresses all the way. Unless she can get away with being naked, which she’ll do any chance she gets. Margie says that Meera is the happiest baby she’s ever known in all of her years of childcare (she says that Owen and Kyle are the happiest kids she’s ever known too– but let’s stick to Meera here). Margie also says that she thinks Meera is like “an old wise lady in a little tiny cute toddler body.” She is content to be at home, doodling and toodling and noodling around finding lots of little toys and things with which to occupy herself. She keeps busy all day long and is never bored or unoccupied. By far her favorite people on earth are her brothers. She follows them around whenever they are within reach for her. She wants do everything they do and attempts to mimic their every move. She laughs hard at their silly faces and ridiculous antics. As soon as she wakes up in the morning she asks for them and searches the house until she finds them. She kisses them spontaneously at random moments throughout her day. And— just in the past 10 days or so— she’s started calling them by name. They are “Bo Bo” (Owen) and “Ky Ky” (Kyle) and they answer to her every whim.
