Sadie came for an overnight with us! She and her dad traveled to NYC during the start of her school vacation week. We picked her up in NYC and brought her home with us. It was 24 hours of love-fest. We had so much fun with her. Even though the boys had been out of school for two weeks for their own school break, we kept them out an additional two days so that they could hang with their cousin 24×7. She’s one year older than them so they look up to her, and emulate her every move, as their “older” cousin. At the same time, they are three peas in a pod. They are now to the point of getting along absolutely marvelously with very minimal supervision or adult involvement required. They had such a good time. Meera loves Sadie too, but often is the fourth wheel just sort of tagging along with the big kids. Moments like this one, though, walking down the street in NYC, Meera is right in the thick of it with the big three:
Before bed they got to watch a new movie. ‘Brother Bear.’ They were enthralled. And they got to eat their favorite ‘Cousins Together Dinner’ (Annie’s mac n cheese) in front of the video. Good times!
Virtually the entire next day was spent with the three on the trampoline! We did take time out to take Sadie out to Red Robin for lunch, but otherwise, it looked like this:

There were tears shed when we dropped her back off with her Dad again the next day. We can’t wait for her to come back!
I love all three of their faces in that first picture! Pure cousin contentment.
I think the pic of the three walking hand in hand with their cousin is just the most perfect depiction of a happy family group!
