After 13 days of pretty much straight traveling, it is a welcome relief to be home. I can say with full confidence that after 16 months of living on campus, the campus is now truly and fully our home. It feels like home now, completely.
Today was a snow day. The kids didn’t have school anyway, so there were no cancellations to complicate things — just all the good parts of a snow day, without the shuffling/rescheduling/frenzy-to-clear-our-calendars. Today was a day with crisp white powdery snow covering everything, the coldest temperatures since 2009, and a beautiful clear blue sky spread out above us for most of the day.
This afternoon we took a long walk through the campus, down to Campus Square, to the new Saxby’s coffee shop, for hot chocolate and cappuccino. Our home is beautiful.
