Owen’s letter above: “Dear Santa, I would like rollerblades this year please.” At bottom: “an easy maze for you!”
re: Kyle’s letter– in 2010 Kyle asked Santa for a bow & arrows. His interest in archery has waxed and waned over the past couple of years, but has lately been fully re-inspired by: 1) our move to a home with 1,800 acres of woods literally right in our backyard, 2) his obsession with The Hunger Games books/movie/story/the-whole-9-yards, and 3) his love of the movie Brave. Note: a quiver is the thing you strap across your back to hold arrows. I just learned this.
Note re: Meera’s picture at the bottom of her letter — “it is the erf with Santa and Rudolf bringing the presents to all the childrens of the world.” FYI: “erf” = ‘earth’

I totally missed the erf. Thank you for translating! It is a beautiful earth M!
Heather,
Eric and I are cracking up right now about Meera. I just said to him, “I am going to read you a letter and you have to guess who wrote it.” I read the letter (he had no idea I was looking at your blog) and without ANY hesitation said definitively, “Meera.” Hahaha!!!!
We miss you guys and hope you’re having fun as usual
Lots of Love,
Maggie and Eric
Love you guys so much. Wish you were here!
You two would have gotten a HUGE kick out of observing Meera decorate our Christmas tree (which, by the way, we only got because of her relentless insistence that we have a Christmas tree).

I love reading their Christmas Lists each year!!
Hey if Owen wants to be a speed skater this is the place to go… nettracing.com Wisler is a competitive speed skater. He LOVES it. In fact, you should be able to find a speed team in your area for Owen once he gets comfortable on his skates. You don’t have to be fast to start on the team – you just need to be able to stay on your feet. I know we skate against a team called SOS. They are in Whitehall PA. There is one in Shillington too. In the summer the kids race outdoors in Trexlertown.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Deneen (and Wisler)
Love those letters! Your bambinos’ penmanship is really great!
